During his 35-year business career, Eric Eilertsen has founded or served as CEO, COO or corporate consultant for a wide range of companies across the U.S., Canada, China and Europe, including several Fortune 100 and numerous private equity companies. He has worked globally to optimize companies and technologies to their full potential with strategic focus on customer and patient engagement, supply chain, hardware and software programs for the Internet of Things. He has pioneered meaningful innovations for healthcare, retail, mobile devices, short format video, reverse logistics and ecommerce strategies.

He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and began his professional career in 1979 with The Procter and Gamble Company. He has held several NASD and SEC licenses, multiple USPTO patents and has served as a director on numerous boards since 1985.

He lives with his wife Kathy in Scottsdale, AZ. They have two sons.

Sally CliffordSally joined Experience Matters in May 2013 as Program Director and is responsible for developing and delivering programs for the nonprofit community that help them effectively engage skilled community talent and build the capacity of the volunteer engagement efforts. Sally most recently held the position of Executive Vice-President at the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits, overseeing the day-to-day operations as well as managing all major initiatives and programs. Prior to that, Sally spent 17 years with American Express in Phoenix in a wide variety of positions, primarily as lead business architect, guiding teams through developing and implementing new products and services into the marketplace.

Immediately prior to joining Experience Matters as an Encore Fellow, Michael served as an Encore Fellow with the American Lung Association. Prior to that, Michael spent almost 24 years with American Express in Phoenix and New York in a wide variety of positions in the business-to-business area, working in marketing, account development and sales enablement.  Michael most recently held the position of Vice President of Deal and Contract Strategy, responsible for the day-to-day activities of marketing and contract negotiation activities for a team of 35 people on 3 continents.

Sandra FreyerBorn in Germany, Sandra came to the U.S. in 1989. After working for a software company in San Francisco for two years, she moved to Phoenix in the fall of 1991. Sandra started her 20-plus-year career in the nonprofit sector with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance in January 1992. Her experience includes logistics, program evaluation and strategic planning, process improvement, volunteer and staff management and project management, as well as grant writing and management.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional.

At Experience Matters, Sandra manages the National Service Programs and is charged with ensuring the programs achieve the desired impact and are in compliance with grant regulations.

Gail KnightGail is an alumna of the Experience Matters Encore Fellow Program. Her career has spanned more than 40 years in the corporate, government and nonprofit sectors. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her leadership and accomplishments in community service and organizational development.

Gail holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She also serves on the Balsz School District Governing Board.

Gail is the widow of the late Leonard G. Knight and proud mother of two daughters and one son.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Katie has a Masters of Education from the University of Minnesota and began her nonprofit career when she moved to Arizona in the summer of 2014. Immediately loving the sector and the city of Phoenix, Katie dove into the field and has since volunteered, joined a board, and is actively involved in networking both inside and outside the sector.

Katie has two cats, Gerald and Spaghetti, and she enjoys traveling with her fiancé around the state exploring all that Arizona has to offer.

Lisa Rolland-KeithAn Arizona native (and native Phoenician to boot), Lisa is passionate about elevating our local communities. She has eight years of experience in the nonprofit sector in areas of communications, design, administration, and program support. A contractor with Experience Matters for the past few years, she has now joined the team full time. She previously worked at Valley Leadership and Southwest Alliance for Excellence.

Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Arizona with a B.A. in Media Arts and is currently pursuing her Masters in Communication Studies at Arizona State University. She lives with her husband and baby boy and enjoys singing with the Phoenix Symphony Chorus.

Kathy AttwoodKathy Attwood is an accountant and former CPA with more than 30 years of experience in the accounting field, including positions with Price Waterhouse, for-profit entities and nonprofit organizations. Her breadth of experience includes managing and overseeing all accounting functions and working in specialized areas such as tax and investment functions. Kathy has served on the board of a nonprofit organization in Texas that distributed public funds to service providers in the natal healthcare industry. She currently serves as a volunteer for a local St. Vincent de Paul conference and the Phoenix Council of SVdP. These roles have helped her develop broad leadership and administrative capabilities, in addition to her technical skills.
Kathy is married to Stephen Attwood. They have two sons and a daughter, and five grandchildren.

Cathy GaudioCathy most recently completed an Encore Fellow position with the City of Phoenix managing Mayor Stanton’s ReadOn Phoenix initiative, a national literacy tutoring program targeting low-income schools in Phoenix and serving over 300 students in grades 1 – 3 in the first year alone. Before accepting the Encore Fellow position, Cathy served the community as a guest teacher for grades K – 8 at a low income elementary school in the Laveen school district, and as a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

Prior to joining Experience Matters, Cathy spent 12 years with CVS Caremark in Human Resources and Member Services Operations at the vice president and director levels.  A PHR certified HR professional, Cathy provided HR leadership and consultative support to the Operations and Sales departments of the Caremark division.  Cathy also led the member services call center department with a focus on account services, metrics, quality, and workforce management.  She was awarded the prestigious “President’s Club” honor in 2006 for providing outstanding service to several key accounts, in addition to a retention award in 2008. Cathy’s early career was focused on call center management in the health care and do-it-yourself moving industries.  She spent eight years with U-Haul International, Inc. at the corporate office in Phoenix, AZ as Vice President Call Center Operations, followed by five years with Access Health as director Member Services.

Cathy has a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with a minor in Communications from Arizona State University.

Tori JonesOriginally from Orange, California, Tori moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University and earned a B.S. in Mathematics. She became interested in working for a nonprofit while volunteering with several organizations during college. Tori served as a Public Ally AmeriCorps member for Experience Matters. Public Allies is a leadership development program that focuses on strengthening communities and nonprofits. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and playing soccer.

Nora HannahNora has decades of business and community involvement experience, and previously served at the helm Experience Matters from 2009-2016. She was also the co-owner/CEO of Landiscor, a real estate information company she sold in 2016. She has served as board chair of the YWCA, Valley Leadership and the Children’s Action Alliance, and was the recipient of the 1999 Athena Award, which honors Valley businesswomen for their excellence in business and leadership, exemplary community service and their support and mentorship of other women. The Phoenix Business Journal named Nora to their 2015 list of Outstanding Women in Business.

Nora earned her B.S. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University and her MBA from Arizona State University. She lives with her husband and, with three adult children, is enjoying life as an empty nester.
